Franschhoek Activities
Franschhoek Wine Tram
Take your pick between 5 different lines, each visiting a selection of wine estates showcasing a separate part of the Franschhoek Valley.
The Hop-on Hop-off experience allows you to curate and plan your own day. You get to choose how long you spend at each spot (within the line schedule, of course), where you eat, where you drink, and the activities you partake in.
Mont Rochelle Hiking
Open all year round and only an hour’s drive from Cape Town, the Mont Rochelle Nature Reserve (part of the UNESCO-declared Cape Winelands Biosphere Reserve) has several hiking routes of varying difficulty.
Situated in the Franschhoek Mountains, MRNR offers spectacular views of the Franschhoek Valley, diverse plant life and over 30km of safe, well-maintained hiking trails (ranging from one-hour walks to day hikes).
Franschhoek Cycles
There is no better way to explore the valley than on a bike. Breathe in the fragrances and take pleasure in the incredible scenery as you cycle around, sampling local cuisine and wine.
Renting a bicycle eliminates the hassle of bike racks and the schlep of finding safe storage for your bike.
